so inlet is 2 7/8 on this one. does anyone think the clamps inside will tighten down on the step down of the pipe? step is about 4 inches in.

Usually tips like that will list the range of pipes it will fit. If I remember right, the 2-3/4" factory exhaust tip steps down to 2-1/2". The difference between 2-7/8" and 2-1/2" is only 3/8" so I'm pretty sure that type of tip will work. If they have one listed as having a 2-3/4" inlet I would go with that instead though.

I don’t think you’re going to get a good depiction of how it would sound with a YouTube video of a bro showing off his Chevy Cobalt.

Hard to say. Resonators to my understanding are intended to tune exhaust sound. They will cancel out or possibly enhance certain sound waves. So it would be dependent on what muffler you chose and what resonator you choose.

If you like the sound of your current exhaust and just want the exhaust tip, don’t get one with a resonator.

Sorry no link but this is it. After two days my wheels haven’t fallen off. The paint held up during install and torquing down.

    I have Method Vex311 17x8.5

What have I done with my 3rd Gen ?

Not much, I suppose. Worked this week and I simply drove it.

I have a 22+ mile commute to work....half of it is rolling hills interstate.

I did try something different on a few of these drives. I didn't use cruise control on the open interstate. My AT can get shifty on the hills with cruise control "on".

I simply drove without it....let it build speed on the downhills and slough it off on the uphills. 77mph---65mph.....pretty much like the big tractor trailers. The tach never revved up like it does with cruise "on" during the uphills or engine braking on the downhills.

Natural way of diving. Oldschool....like the pre-cruise control days.

    Anyway....here's what it looked like:

Those numbers are about to fall off bigtime by mid-morning today.....getting ready to do something with my Taco that will ensure the 20+mpg days are never to be seen again.

    Gonna be fun, though...............

I'm developing a serious case of the "I WANTS" for a set of those.

Very nice. Your truck looks great !!!!!!!

I really like these. How smooth was the installation......wiring & all ??

What are your impressions after driving around at night with them ?

I have no choice, bro.....I'm rocking a head the is in dire need of a haircut. Got the wolf man look going on. Hatting is a must.

Rolling with my @Paint pig Yota Devil Horn's hats this week at work.

Looks great. I really like that dark bronze color from SCS.

Gotta love the full tilt boogie Infernal Internals Mod.

Dude went balls deep with that enhancement.

His riders hop in and it's all "Hello"....."Dayum, son....".

Much respect to you and your beautiful wife.

You are living the dream there, man. Living the good life.

Having my morning coffee and your post has me grinning. Good stuff.

I still laugh every time I think of the original post where cuz had the headlight meltdown in his kitchen......fire department called in.....wife is away on deployment, but somehow she'll find out. LMMFAO every time I think about how that mod unfolded. A cursed mod from the beginning.

The bull bar or the horns emblem ?

I thought the horns were only made twice a year.....

You have to wear flat bill hats to rock that tip.

    Just sayin', yo.
