Anybody have the Bilstein level kit on a third gen access cab? The website says not to use the 5th notch 2" setting on the access cabs, but doesn't give a reason why. I'm assuming their is a weight difference then and that the 4th notch will achieve the 2-2.5" level.

So it sounds like Bilstein is trying to “recommend” that people don’t (accidentally) achieve more than 2” of lift on their trucks having a lighter front end. More than 2” and you’re into bad angles on the cv joints, uca, carrier bearing, etc. Most complete leveling kits come with the diff drop kit included to help with the front end angles and alignments anyway.

I currently have the 1500’s both set at the 4th clip “1.55” position and it rides better than stock. Think I’ll be feeling fine if I maybe go with a 5/4 clip positions to level out the front lean with the 1” block in the back. That’ll be good for me for now.

I did the 4th clip and then just added a 1/4 spacer on each side since my front end doesn't have the taco lean. Gave me 2" lift on my access cab.

I have oem springs. Rides better than the stock sport shocks. But I dont wheel hard either.

Ya I was actually just looking into the 1/4” spacer option as well. Wouldn’t have to compress and disassemble the coilover again to change the clip position either.
