    I'm actually tossing around the idea of creating a T harness that intercepts the Map/Dome circuit @ the A pillar. With an extension lead that drops down to the switch panel with a plug/play roller dimmer switch like this

    Is there a way to also intercept the connection between the maps and dome so that you could just have the map lights turn on with the doors, but then flip a switch from the driver's seat to turn on the dome as well whenever you needed it? (versus unhooking the wire at the dome and then having to turn on the dome manually from the dome itself)?

    I haven't traced the circuit that far but I'm pretty sure I'd have to go into the overad console for that.

    That light is the most useless thing. Nowhere near bright enough for any place bigger than the cubby it’s above.

    Plus they are $24 EACH!! Screw that!
