yeah lookin' at that EZ seed looks like that's specifically for spots...I'll probably have to buy their turf builder stuff to get enough (affordably) for my whole yard.

I hate yard work. Why I bought a fast ass mower. Get that shit done. Don't like working on the yard or anything. I'll spread some weed and feed out once or twice a year but that's it.

My wife thinks if the neighbor is out doing something then I ought to be out there cutting grass too. GFY I'm not competing with the neighbor for a nice yard. FFS we drive on the damn grass why the hell would I put any effort into that. To fix that I'll have to haul in fill and either do seed or turf. Nope not at this time. Plus the side of the yard just got dug up to pump the septic tank. Got a deal though because he also dug up the two tree stumps over there that some dumbass planted on top of the septic tank. Plus they drove over the septic tank at some time and fucked the lids up that I had to have fixed. Figured that $575 was well worth it considering I'd have to rent a mini excavator to get those stumps out. That would have cost me more than that. Of course I still have that one damn bush I can't kill next to the driveway that I was going to dig up with the mini ex. If I had been home that day they came I would have worked something out with that excavator. lol

I do need to yank all my chainlink down and put up a short privacy fence. That will help with getting the yard cut faster by eliminating that pathway between mine and the neighbors yard. Also going to take the dog pen out of the back yard and build a new shop out there. Tear the old shed down and use that slab as a parking pad for my trailers.

Dig up all the weeds and immediately plant seeds. My mom can get you a soil sample container and you can see what your yard needs to sustain healthy grass.

 

My other neighbor used one of those services. I saw them out there one day spraying and they barely get any of the shit on the grass to wet it. He finally said hell with it and stopped them then the weeds were back within a month and a half. He said that was ridiculous that they couldn't;t get rid of the weeds just hold them down while they were paid for over a year. I mean hell if you want your shit green spread some nitrogen on it and it will green up like hell. I'd love a nice all grass yard but it's not worth the money when everyone around you has dandelions growing to seed and getting right back in your shit. It's a non winning battle. Maybe if you spent the money on Zoysia that can choke the weeds completely out but that stuff is high dollar. I had a decent patch of it in my yard and there wasn't one weed that could get in that thick stuff. I think the heat finally got it though. Got nothing but junk grass in the yard now. You know that great heat tolerant bs weed grass. The problem with Zoysia is it grows so slow to almost need to do it as turf and that's really expensive. I got better things to spend money on than grass for the yard.

 

I don't care to have full grass, I just want some! like literally any killing of weeds will make my yard dirt dirt dirt.

asking people what kinda seed I need and they ask "what kinda grass do you have?" I'm like...uh, clover?

 

i used fairway lawns and they were great at my old house.

I am now in same boat with clover type grass in the front but with all my trees i doubt grass will grow nice and thick.

Also you can tell that yard doesn't get used because look under the swingset. That shit doesn't have one bit of wear on it. That's a photo yard not a used yard.

 

Nothing with a yard is cheap. Hell nothing with doing a flower bed is cheap. I spent $200 just in rock for the flower beds.
