If you’re going to get new wheels do it right. Cheap wheels always look cheap; you'd be better off waiting, saving and getting a good set.

I have never cared about having nice wheels. I don't like shiny things, i like the rugged "im gonna chew you up and spit you out look". I don't want a pretty boy truck, i want one that looks like its actually capable of doing something. Like the truck in the banner at the top, i love those wheels. I could never justify spending more than $60 on a wheel, especially when the ones that came on my truck cost twice that.

If you buy some of Toyota's cheap truck steel wheels, you will know that they are hubcentric versus some cheap lugcentric aftermarket wheels that will probably cause you to have vibrations.

I don't know about that. I am having more issues with out-of-balance tires on my Tacoma than I have had on any other vehicle, and it is stock all the way around.

Are you still using the stock tires or did you upgrade tires like you said that you wanted to a while back ???

Tires could be defected. The Dunlaps are 50 bucks. Could be one reason why they are not a balanced as your used too. I have 400 miles on trk and no problems yet. knock on wood.

Yeah, I have the Dun-Flops. I am taking it to the dealership today to talk to them about switching out the tires for something else (hopefully something covered under the 100K mile warranty that I stupidly bought).

No, I didn't upgrade - unfortunately. I want to keep the warranty (free tires for first 100,000 miles) since I obviously drive enough for it (20K in first 7 months)

Since you are still using the stock wheels & tires, I would say that you either have a defective wheel (out of round or warped), defective tire or unbalanced combination. And yes, I would have the dealer check it out because you should not being have vibration problems at only 20k from any worn components.
