So fucking irritated right now. Some scum bag used my savings account 2 days in a row to pay their CC bill totaling just over 3k an chase tells me I can't close the account till they have reemburment the funds.

Wednesday they took 1,8xx.xx
Thursday they took 1,2xx.xx

So before I can close it from the first attempt they use it again. Then I call chase an report the 2nd fraudulent charge an have to wait again to close the account till they refund it.

 

That sucks man that happened to my debit card once I was pissed, but why hasn’t chase suspended the account so they couldn’t take anymore money?

 

That's a great question, and instead of sleeping I get to drive my happy ass to the bank an figure it out.
I've transferred (virtually) everything but $50 out of the savings to the checkings until I figure out wtf Is going on

 

Same thing happened to me just over a month ago. Make chase print out a list of charges and highlight everything that wasn’t you and keep a copy of it.

 

What are you doing to it? And where are you located? If it's omw home I can stop by and help

 

What a pain in the ass, Sorry to hear that man hopefully it gets squared away once you get there and I would make sure to check the statements like @Rashnu said.

 

I’m pretty good at checking it daily to see what goes on.
What’s crazy to me is it’s been my savings. It literally only gets used to transfer money from my checking to the savings... I don’t know how someone got that info

Believe me, if there's one thing I have seen in my line of work, it's that this information is not hard to get. And typically, the big banking institutions are not great at protecting your personal information. They are so big that it's cost prohibitive to them to be truly secure.

 

It’s just weird right after the account got over 10k in it we start having these issues, part of me wants to just take the money an hold it at home in the safe
