I didn’t think it would but wasn’t sure. I’m still going to 5th at 35mph and today I was doing 45mph in 6th at 1100rpm. I’d like not to see 5th until at least 45mph and 6th until 60-65rpm.

I drive a 6MT but others who have the auto say the tune has completely changed (for the better) the way the truck drives.

The tune has changed a lot and I love it engine wise. Still not happy with the shifting though. I like the shift pattern with ECT but don’t always want to run it. ECT with the tune is a beast over the stock ECT. I’ll probably stick with the S gears. Should’ve gotten a MT. This is the first truck I’ve ever had that was an AT.

    35-40 mph in 5th = 29-30 mpg

    45 mph in 6th = 25ish mpg

    I’m not complaining.

I agree, for cruising, that's where you get the MPGs! My only complaint, and a mild complaint at that, is that I wish it would downshift a hair sooner when under load. My work commute is 35-45 MPH on city streets with rolling hills, it just takes a bit to much throttle to get a downshift sometimes when under load on the hills.

I have very similar shift patterns on 1.03 with a 4x4 SR5. I would also like to see upshift points from 4-5 & 5-6 moved up at least 5-10 mph (running stock wheels and tires). My truck studders pretty bad in the 1100 - 1300 rpm range (running the 91 tune with shell 93 oct fuel). I am also experiencing some low speed issues that I hope the new update will fix.

I'm having the opposite issues of you guys, my truck is now holding all gears above 3rd even at 2500rpm at about 60-70mph which isn't exactly healthy

Don’t have one... In the review thread someone said that you need to take your truck to the dealership and have it updated before you buy the tune if it’s too old. In the instructions it says if your version isn’t supported just email your current version to ov tune. Which is right?

I think both. If your ECU/TCU is 'too old', it needs to be updated by dealer. If it's a newer one that Matt hasn't seen yet, you'll need to send him a copy so he can verify it's compatible with his work.

I believe (and may be wrong) that 04B01 is stock for the '16
04B02 is the first trans update
    04B03 isRev 2
So if you at least have the first trans TSB you should be golden

On 91 tune D mode gets me to 5th at 45mph. ECT will kick me down to 4th and so does S mode. Truck never jumps to 5th in the 30s. Also, my best mpg so far is 23.4 and that's with pretty conservative driving. Typical is around 17. That's mostly off freeway driving.

Sorry if this has been answered already (and yes, I've read all 748 pages of this thread!) but on OVTune's website, all 2018's AT's are lumped in one option, whereas for 16-17, the AT's are divided into AT or AT with crawl control. Do I just select 2018+ AT? Does it include the crawl control equipped '18s? Pretty sure I've seen some with '18s ORs or PROs get the tune. Finally ready to order the tune for my blue baby! ('18 PRO).

Well technically both. The only way to read your ECU is with an OBD tool, techstream, or with Matt's software. What is the production date on your driver side door jam? This has been a good indication of what your ecu might be.
