Yeah, I know it's last minute...
I also know I'm pretty far up the hill for most to come lend a hand.

#wifey has offered up her smaller hands/arms, so I'm not too worried.

Why would you want to go there lol I have only bad experiences out in New Idria from work. I have no desire to go back there. I have heard clear creek is fun. My .02 would be to go another 45m south to lockwood and head west on nacimiento Ferguson to the peak and try coast ridge trail. Lat long feom google 36.009698,-121.452331 There's a few campsites, hwy1 is still closed by gorda and old coast road was closed a month ago, said something along the lines of locals only. Also Andrew molera beach is still open but the campgrounds got wiped out last winter, ranger said there weren't even rumors on restoration yet. Fuel up in king city, closest gas station lol

Just to close out my question, in case someone is interested, called up the ranger station, old coast is closed to vehicles indefinitely for now. Bummer.

Oh so I'm trying to get these super bumps in and I know the Dakar leaves are designed to neg but I think I might be a little too neg on my measurements. Also I aligned the bump slightly forward towards the cab and it seems I need to somehow go more out to the side. I could add a gusset but what does the experience here say. I'm not liking how it looks as of now.

So I was there like a month ago. Got to this point before turning around:

There are signs everywhere that the road is closed so I never bothered. Talked to another TW guy that lives down there and he said there's actually a physical gate barring the way up.

I kinda have a thing for abandoned places and ghost towns. Another TW guy was up there not too long ago and posted some pretty interesting pics: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...ma-glamping-build.531674/page-3#post-17320375

I was at NaciFerg and Prewitt Ridge about a month ago...

Not enough to have a build thread.

I agree with your concern. Maybe add a plate to the factory bump stop to make it a little wider? Gussets would probably be needed to reinforce. But it can't be too wide or itll run your tire. And it looks (to someone who's not overly familiar with LT and superbumps or anything like that) like your shock is going to bottom out before your bump does...

That's way cooler than where I was lol we flew in for a fire in the copter and landed only to notice it was an firing range (people there started it, shooting during a ban period no less, and dipped) and we had all sorts of munition going off all around us, shifty and erratic gusts but no steady wind was making it hard to go direct or indirect, and it was 110 at the station but felt like at least 120 in that valley...at least 120 dude and maybe 5% humidity. Sounds kinda cool but it wasnt, I mean it kinda was but it also sucked. Steep country...one guy fell and had to get flown out. Havent been back since.

But have fun! Dont fight fire there lol
