I'm 46. My wife is my best friend by design.

Grew up in Arkansas, lived all over due to military and desire to see the world. Living back in Arkansas now because that's where my wife wants to live. I've had good friends where ever I've lived, and have a couple now. Truth of the matter is I'd rather do most stuff by myself. I hunt, fish, shoot, hike, 4 wheel, ride motorcycles, etc. all the time by myself because that's how I like it.

I am not sad, depressed, angry, unfriendly, etc., I just enjoy doing things on my own. I still do things with others, just not that often. Been married 26 years and never needed a boys night out.

Don't worry as long as you're happy. I think it's normal.

Nah, for me just a price you pay for living alone towards the mountains. Closest town population under 100. It has it's ups and downs.

I’m 28 and on the same boat. My only best friend is my girlfriend. Someone i’d Consider a friend is 6 hours away in Denver. We still talk. He and I go way back since high school. Other than my girlfriend and him, that’s all the friends I have. I sometimes think it would be nice to go out for a drink with a guy friend and just catch up and talk about trucks and technology lol

 

Sounds like you need to get into a wheeling club. Great friends are to be made in them.

I'm in the same boat. I'll be 34 in two weeks and I have several acquaintances but no true best friend other than my wife. It used to bother me but not so much anymore. What bothers me is when people take to social media and say we should hang out, meet up, blah blah blah but will walk right by you in the grocery store. That shit pisses me off.

Born, Raised and about to leave San Diego. Gonna be rough, but it's better than living stressed out by the politics in this hellhole. Every hobby I have is something the government seems to have a problem with.

 

35, single, got a pup 9 months ago to be my travel buddy after waiting 4 yrs from putting my last one down. My schedule also kept me from getting a pup sooner as it was always changing. I only have 1 really good friend near me I hang with every couple weeks and another one I barely talk to from where I used to live(I'm actually going to see him in 2 weeks after I moved away 10 years ago). I'm happy with my life but do still hope to find the right girl to join me. I grew up moving quite a bit and while I can make friends and always find a few good ones every where I go, I enjoy answering to myself. I also enjoy going wheeling with my TW friends! Everyone I meet from this site has been great to hang, wheel and camp with!

 

Join a MEETUP group. there are thousand of different activities, from every type of Sport, Arts, Movies,Games,Hiking, Biking, Climbing etc. and even dozens of Off Road groups. They are in every part of the country. I started my own, and last time I checked, it was out of control, - there were 876 people.
