How would the performance with that thing be compared to an aftermarket turbo?

It wouldn't have the same high potential the turbo has, but it's a big enough charger to make an extra 75-85HP (conservative values as I'm not sure it could do that with its stock pulleys but maybe) and the boost would come on pretty quick. Would have to use an aftermarket bypass valve with this but that and the clutch deal would make it rather easy to control. The turbo has much more potential though, SC setup is far more simple which is a plus.

Wow. That much? That's way more than what the stock Previa engine gained in the first place.

The previa had some electronics governing when it could use the SC and like I said the pulley is likely a safety measure.

How do you even take the engine out of that thing? Does it drop out of the bottom?

@Speedytech7 Now I'm trying to imagine how I would even manage to pull the SC off at a junkyard considering it's mid engine.

Well since the 2TZ basically looks like a 2RZ that fell over on its exhaust side I'd imagine anything bolted to it would be on the driver side and would likely be toward the dog house where you could easily remove it. The 2TZ has its accessory drive going through the block but close to the top (this thing is really hard to explain) so I don't think it would be tough to remove the SC.

It's like the best of the best of CL because the requirement of having a means of verifying yourself cuts out some of the lowlifes lol

I'm disappointed... no Nigerian Princes in sight.

I had a guy try to buy my transmission jack (and have me ship it to him) and I was well aware of the scam. I played his game for a little and told me he wanted to remove a transmission from a traverse engine... with a floor transmission jack. He blocked me after I called him out on the traverse engine thing.

I did a front differential oil change at 4 AM... I was stubborn and couldn't wait to buy the proper hand pump for the diff oil so I was just squirting the bottle sideways into the diff.

Don't do that. I spilled diff oil EVERYWHERE. Including on me. I have a jacket that I have washed at least three or four times and still reaks of diff oil.

I have two jackets with diff oil stains in them and that I can't use because of how much they stink.

Diff oil is the worst fluid on cars. I can't imagine what USED diff oil smells like.

I washed both of my jackets with Persil (tough as hell on grease and oil) and then used a Costco dryer sheet (particularly fragrant). They smell okay now, not great, but I don't think diff oil smells all that bad to be honest. Well used diff oil can be pretty rancid though. Drained 175K transaxle oil out of a buddy's car to help him get his shift quality back (Hyundai thought it should be a lifetime fluid). It was only 2.1 quarts for the whole manual transaxle (diff and transmission) and it was nasty smelling. New Redline 85-90 fixed it right up and now it doesn't grind third and fourth anymore.
