I said that because Murph sold me his quick change kit that @12TRDTacoma pioneered.
Now of course he wants more like we all do. I think he was kidding though. :D:thumbsup:

Did yours come with a new hose clamp? I used the one it came with and it fit fine. Take that baby for a test drive!

Also I think my belt is slipping or my boost gauge might not be right. How important is it that the map sensor be in a 100% upright position? I put mine on the firewall so it has a little bit of a tilt not perfectly level.

I might post a video of it, basically the boost goes all over the place when boosting.. I thought it gradually increased then went down as you shift and repeat?

Will do, my flash is a little more lean than the trd I think, but heck I won’t know truely until I plug this sucker in. I am thinking about running the wire under the driverside cab plug, then sending it along the frame to its desired location.

Mine was an eBay deal. $44. No clamp included. Saved a few bucks, though. I’ll get another clamp later.

My boost pressure sensor is zip tied to a harness by the brake booster. It is straight up and down, but I never put any thought into it’s orientation. I didn’t think it mattered. :notsure:

I just noticed it said in my gauge install that it needs to be vertical.. idk ill take a video of the gauge. If I am already rolling and say rpm up to 2500-3000 it says 0 psi instead of vaccuum, but stays at 0 until over 3k rpm. When launching hard it goes up but like 3k-redline the boost seems to go all around from 5.1 to 6.2. Am I crazy or is this normal? Both? :D

Also $44 for the filter you got a killer deal.

Never knew the sensor had to be vertical. I guess I just got lucky installing mine in the correct orintation.

You could possibly have a little air leak somewhere in the hose that goes to the pressure sensor. Mine developed a little crack at one point and I had to replace the hose. How much vacuum does your show at idle?

I saw the filter for $44 and jumped on it. eBay said there were two people watching the auction. I figured it was one of y’all on this thread. :D

It’s all new vac hose and I used hose clamps on all ends, shouldnt be leaking hopefully. If I remember correctly last night it was reading around -19, does that sound right?

I see 8’s in the am on my 2.85” when it’s still cool. Once it warms in the afternoon (getting warmer in TX) I’m not usually over 7. Those 20 degF winter days were glorious. No below zero temps in Dallas.

Im typically 20-22 vacuum depending on rpm/temp/and if in park or "D" at idle.

Boost is load dependent, it can be snappy and jump to peak if u drop the hammer, this isnt a turbo.

I can do 75 up a large grade for about a half mile and pull some vac when choosing the right gear.

Ill mess with it some more today maybe. I used hose clamps cuz I had to buy a connector since the vac hose that fits the map sensor is way smaller than the boost port. I figured it would help hold them on there better.

My AEM x series boost gauge (15 psi) doesn’t snow vacuum at all. It stays at 0.0 until under load. My pressure sensor is also ran horizontal along the firewall next to the break booster, didn’t know there was a specific orientation also.

Anyone else with the x series showing the same? I wish it would show vacuum... it also take about 3k+ rpm to show any boost on the gauge building.

I’m running the stock 3.0 pulley, stock headers, stock exhaust (with WickdFlow muffler). (And the URD TCAI as mentioned earlier)

Now, I need to run into Home Depot for some fittings to fix this. Need a T to use both the pressure sender & 7th.
