I've ridden a Hei Hei Trail. It's a badass bike and if I had the dough that's the bike I would probably buy. Its in a league of its own being a slack, low-travel, 27.5" bike; very playful

@PNWskibum I feel you man, snapped a sixc carbon bar on my dh bike going at pretty good clip. All aluminum bars from here on! That was probably one of the hardest crashes I think ive ever had.

Took the stumpjumper out for the first ride of the season yesterday. Had no idea how lazy I’ve been all winter

For those that are interested in the clearance between a 1up and a 2018 Taco tailgate when the rack is folded down.

I was gonna get out for Easter but it decided to dump half a foot in a couple hours and drop 30 degrees celsius. We went from +7 to -20. Even the roads are a nightmare, no biking there either.

I was doing a trail work day with some Specialized employees and saw the new Diverge with “Future Shock”. Very cool!

@JuanitoBunito I see you've chosen to make room for the wheel ahead of your mounting board. If the bike were pushed all the way up to where the forks almost touch the tonneau, could you close the tailgate? Ive been thinking of an inexpensive rollup tonneau, but with our 29-ers and our Kuat DirtBag fork mounts on a board on the floor of the bed, just a few inches behind the bed wall, I can easily close my tailgate. I was thinking the fork angle would clear a rolled-up tonneau and still allow tailgate closing (can't take up more than a few inches for a shortbed rollup, right?). My Tallboy is shorter travel than your Process (120/130) but it is a Large and 29". Thanks.

I’ve been meaning to redrill some new holes for the mounts to check just that!!...The board fits perfectly in that pocket of the bedsides so all I’d be able to gain is the few inches moving the mount up towards the front of the bed. If I can close my bed ......it’ll just make it. I’ll let you know as soon as I try.

This may sound obvious, but you can turn the fork mounts around 180 degrees, so they slant forward, and gain a few inches (assuming you clear the tonneau) and still be able to keep the board in the same location.

I can do one better....I can just take the board out and flip it around. I’ll just have to mount the bike on the passenger side. The angle of the mount will probably give me an inch more....or mayyyybe 2.

With the snow melted out of the bed I finally got to try out my set up for hauling our bikes to the bike paths in my area. Still to cold to ride yet. It was just a test fit but I like what I see. Pinnacle Chris gave me the idea and I basically copied what he was doing. With the bikes installed they did not move with this set up. I am going to add additional ties using the bed clamps Toyota gives us because I am into overkill tying things down.
Tacomaworld pics 004.jpg Tacomaworld pics 006.jpg Tacomaworld pics 009.jpg Tacomaworld pics 006.jpg I ordered bed rail cleats on Amazon and bought a couple packs Of Quick Fist rubber clamps from Summit Racing. The rest came from the hardware store and I used a wire loom to cover the exposed threads. Its easy to remove if I need to. It cost me $35 to make 2 of these. It really opened up my bed compared to what I was using before.
