So I am really wanting to install a bull bar on my 2018 TRD Pro but from some of the pics I have seen with them on Tacomas it looks like it might be right in front of the radar in the grill. Has anyone installed a bull bar with radar, and did it get in the way, or are there any brands and styles of bull bars that won't interfere with the radar?

Word of advice, don’t get a bull bar. In the scenario where your front is impacted, it will ruin your truck more with possible frame damage rather than preventing damage.

They are not thick enough to hurt anything.good for light mount only not much protection. Mine is thin material it would crumple on impact it should clear your sensorC37A0A12-E4E4-451E-9442-E4FAC96BD0B4.jpg

From that angle it looks like it would be almost up to the sensor on a Pro.

Bullbar mounting hardware when we are speaking of the aries/tyger/ebay "bullbars" are weak, thats why the bars fold back and crush components behind them (damage multiplier).
    Same as "brushbars".

If you are talking an Australian version of a "bullbar" or "roo bar", those are real bumpers like the ARB and thats another story.

Yeah the Sensor in the Pro Grille is a couple inches lower than the emblem in the regular Grille.

Such an awesome front end, doesn’t need any busying to detract from its good looks, imo. The $ spent on a bull bar could go to other beneficial mods. But don’t spend it on stupid stuff, like groceries, house payments, insurance, or medical care, please!
But. As always, it’s your truck, so be happy. Congrats on the Pro!!!

I have the same question... never got an answer on my post. I’ll let you know this next week my pro grill is finally here after a long wait. And I have the avid bumper guard installed.

Thats nice looking can't tell if it will cover the Radar though. Do you think something like that would still fit even with the skid plate?

When I get home I can take pics of the bottom where it goes in. It connects like any other bull bar. So if this one does not the other will not either.

The Avid site says that it will fit with the TRD skid plate. I am more concerned about the radar being covered at the bottom of the grille. Out of curiosity did you get the Rigid light or did you buy your own?

Now, THAT is actually quite righteous! Looks way better than some of the aftermarket ones that seem somewhat generic. It adds to the look of the truck, instead of detracting.
    NICE!
