Test drive off-road and sport

both were dcsb auto
NO tech/Prem. Like most have stated off-road drove softer. Sport handled better. But I did feel the sport had a more responsive throttle not sure why tires? It felt slightly quicker. Either way I’m leaning towards the off-road for looks and value. Now I gotta choose between black or mgm as those are the only 2 colors in stock.

 

I'd get MGM I saw a black yesterday before walking in work and jeez all the scratches and swirl marks hurt.

18, or leftover 17? MGM, easier to keep looking nice.

 

The sport was inferno red. Both off-roads are black and mgm. Inferno was cool color but not for me. I had a 16 4runner Ltd black and it was pain to keep clean. Looks like mgm unless they can allocate a super white. And these are all 2018

 

I also did drive a trd off-road dcsb cement with tech and Prem package. Msrp was 41k and they only came down to 39k. Don’t really need all the bells and whistles. At near 40k I expect hid and power seats,even though power seats aren’t offered.

 

If you want a white I'd have them get a white one for you especially considering your getting a 18 if it was a 17 then I agree your stuck with what they have.

 

Have them locate a white if that's your #1 choice. My dealer went 1100 miles around trip at no charge for mine. Trailered it.

 

Cement.

 

The cement one was sweet. But harder to come by. Mgm is nice too. Just that I’m trading in my fj that’s already silver. Wanted something different. Thanks for replies.

 

If MGM walk around in sunlight and check color to be the same all over the truck. Some people complained the color is not uniform on all parts and panels.

 

I read something about mgm here. Didnt go thru all the posts. Is it a high percentage of bad mgm batch?

 

Mine is MGM and is fine, gorgeous when clean!

Wow. Just read thru entire thread. I’m staying away from mgm. Wasn’t even top 3 choices for me. Only one left is black off road. And according to dealer they can’t allocate another trd off road. For the price I offered it’s either the black one or mgm in stock.

 

What color do you REALLY want?
Find another dealer with your color?
Ask guys here to find one for you?
Settle for MGM. This nation was built by settlers...

 

White,cement, quicksand. Are my top choices

 

Yes they can, they just want to get rid of whatever is on their lot is what I'm assuming Tell them the colors you want and leave then wait for the phone call back for either a cheaper price or the color you actually want. Win win situation if your patient enough.

 

I'd love to have a dealer do this. I've been looking for an 18 for 3 months.
