    Hey Guys!

Just driving back from delivering the camper to Jim in Utah. Taking tomorrow off at the shop for easter, but we will be back on it hard Monday. Planning on a production newsletter for build specific updates and timelines (will post a sign up link here soon) and a website revamp in addition to getting these units out the door. For those of you that are towards the front of the line, I am going to reach out to start getting color and options at the beginning of next week.

I am also working with our video guy this weekend to get that walk around cut for Monday. Its not a short iphone video, its a pretty comprehensive thing. I think it will explain what we are doing really well.

Also, here are some photos from Jim. I think he is pretty stoked, but I will let him fill you all in...

    Parking Lot install.

    All lit up...

BTW Jim (@inv3ctiv3 here, @_jim_bob on insta) is a pretty awesome photog/video guy. https://jimbobbarnett.com/

Pull the stock plastic off a 2nd gen taco. Its crazy how thick it is. Its a solid 3/4" at least. The clearance above the sharkfin on the 2nd gen is slightly tighter than on the third gen with the stock bed rails.

Also, we saw a ~1 mpg change on a stock tacoma with and without the camper. V6, base trim, auto trans. No change in wind noise to speak of.

Oh my god, they have welded nut inserts on the inside:goingcrazy:

Im not going to have to compromise the powder coating on the space frame by welding my own in!

Does that still include brackets or something to make the bed into a couch?

Sorry for joining late but I’m not reading 95 pages. Forgive me. Are there plans for windoors on the sides as an add-on eventually?

Not windoors per se. The entire side panel as it is now is a door that opens. We don't have current plans for side windows but do offer front and rear windows.

@wileydavis - Can you lock the top down from within? To help keep the kooks, who just watched me close it, from getting in? Can you lock the rear panel from within, like when sleeping downstairs (stealth mode) at wally world, rest areas, etc.?

We recently put a SMB Penthouse Top on a Ford Transit. That bad boy has three ridiculous wire-gated clamps, and each of those clamps then has a ball lock pin as backup. No way to open it up without unlocking it first from within.

I know interior locks have been mentioned here before, but what is the current status? The Mrs. needs to be able to lock us in at night, and keep people out while we pretend to surf all day. Maybe just a few ball lock pins placed ever so thoughtfully...

Looks like you didn’t go with the ceiling fan. Any reasons? I can’t wait to get mine all set up!

Nice video! Can you lock the tent when it is closed so some yahoo can’t open it and get access to your bed?

    Yeah, Easter Present thank you!

Just finished watching it, it looks absolutely amazing Thank you guys for your hard work I can not wait to get mine, This video makes a lot of things a lot more clear. I'd imagine orders will start coming in faster now that people can see exactly what you guys have going on. I certainly understand those who waited to see a final production model before pulling the trigger. Me, I'm glad I pre-ordered May can't come soon enough!!
