I got the flowmaster 40 installed on my truck today at a local muffler shop. Sounds pretty sweet, good deep rumble to it, makes a v6 sound pretty darn good :D

i have the flow 40's on my 4.0 taco. I love the sound but my friends tell me that it sounds like a boat. lol go figure. but that might have something to do with my intake, i have the volant cai with the top plate off and the hole cover for the ram air off.

with dual pipes, the sound has to travel a bit farther, so it makes it a bit more rumbly and mellow. single in/out still sounds great!! (notice those clips were on the 06 that i had)

are you guys putting in the whole exhaust system or are you just cutting out the old muffler and putting in the 40 with stock pipes?

cutting out stock muffler and welding a new muffler is the best(in my opinion of course) and cheapest way to go...........its essentially the same as an expensive cat back system.
