I have a feeling when ever I have grandkids I'll be right in the middle of them. These people think whenever anybody is around we should "watch/ entertain" the children including changing diapers. Uh, NO

Love my grandkids, can only handle the noise in short doses and I don't entertain them. I usually get them something sturdy and cool so they can stay outside and play.

Well it should last forever at that rate. I'd think thet would deffinately be a vehicle to keep as well. I've never been in one but they look comfortable and from what I understand are great all around

That's nice, kids shoud be outside getting dirty. It seems, anymore, that these new parents and children don't want to venture outside.

    They're solid.
Short wheelbase, so they're a little bouncy. Blind spots, yep, but a non issue since I drove line trucks and used mirrors. Stick on convex helped.
Best thing was ditching the mushy stock suspension. There was way too much dipping/squatting for my liking.
My biggest gripe is not the blind spots, but the size of the A pillars. When at an intersection, I've learned to look around them.

I like to bring out my old shelter halves and make them their own tent...kids love forts, their cheap and they fold up and get put away easily. They are relatively cheap too at your local surplus store. Even some pvc/conduit parts, a small tarp and a couple chunks of rope will do the same at low cost/low energy.

Hell I have to do the same thing in my Taco. Came close to getting clipped more than once especially with trees in the way. I've used blind spot mirrors since I can remember so that wouldn't bother me. I think.

Friend of mine had Tacoma's\Toyota pickups most of his life. About the time I got my Taco he traded his in for an FJ. He has done well with it but made a lot of mods. Even had someone install a short sliding platform in the back for his guns and dog crates. His wife still drives the old Tundra, it is not much larger than the new Tacomas. They said they are keeping that thing until it falls apart. Then duct taping it back together again.

I read a few times about owners creating "cool zones" by keeping a burner off.
