I was wondering yesterday if this may work. Took a few pics of the space between the canister and bed and was going to post them. Glad you got it to work!

Yes, just enough. Just a tiny bit of play. The edge is thicker. I held the tray up with one had and banged the side that was hung up past the bolts down with my other hand. Hammer fisted it. Once it’s past the edge it’s ok. You can slide the voodoo bracket about two inches further away from the truck(cab). After that there’s a small screw sticking out that will probably rub against the bracket. I don’t think too hard though.

    Yep it works!

I think I’m going to get new fork mounts and trays. Leave the rocky mts for other car.

I’m waiting to see what you do, but I’m thinking 2 Voodoo bars, skewer or thru axle mount in the front, Voodoo trays on the back. Way cheaper than Thule or Yakima.

To move the mount up with the button head, were you still able to use the washer? Or just the button head bolt?
Could I just squeeze the provided bolt and washer in there? Or is that a no go.

So I did use the washers. It works with them. You get one side in there, and the other will hang up. I hit top with hand and it went down no problem.

I realized these rail clamps work as shims. I mocked this up with the Jetliners. It works okay. Used two bolts. Mounting to a longer track or metal piece would be stiffer. These will work I think, just need the right shim. Rockymounts makes a track but I don’t know if these will mount to it. I ordered two loballs and will install those.

Well, the stock hardware deff doesn’t fit between the canister. Just tried a handful of times, no go. I’m going to pick up some button heads tomorrow. I can’t believe you got a washer in there. It doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to! GRRRRR!! Gonna keep trying!

Edge should slip past the button head. Just bang it pretty hard and fast with fist. It should drop in past the edge! Go to an ace hardware type of place not Home Depot. They will have them. Good luck!

Look forward to getting back in the saddle. Feel like I posted way too many times on this thread! Stoked that it’s figured out! :D

Can you post a pic with the bike mounted? I want to see where the rear tire sits. And also how far up is your front bar?

Is it possible to mount a rotopax underneath the bars?

If you elongate the part that mounts to the bed rail about 1.5” then it should work with BackFlip MX4. The bed rails are relocated 1.5” down from original location.
