I know when my truck is going to hit 5th , 4th, or 3rd either by my foot position on pedal or the truck shifting itself due to terrain or load.

Any chance you flashed the stock tune instead of 103?

 

No. I haven't reflashed. No reason to. I know it worked, and I know I flashed the correct one. It does shift more smoothly, it's just this one thing.

 

It's all opinions (which are important) without data.

So grab Techstream and a cable and log that baby.

I’ve been meaning to. Hard to describe in text what I’m seeing/feeling. I’ll flash the updated 1.03 when it comes out and see if that helps.

 

I say log it, but hold off on sending it to Mat until you test the updated map and see what that does for you. If it continues, log again and send both, describing what's what on each log

Rpm will change in same gear just from lock / half lock / no lock of the connverter

 

This is normal. I drive up the mountain passes and experience the same thing and since the throttle sense is electric it can sense the speed at which you press the gas pedal. If you notice that going 65-70 it won’t shift until it has to is because of the “happy place” for optimal speed. The downshift at high speeds should be aggressive...you are going fast and then downshifting to go faster while going fast

 

I’m in the same boat as you. Got the email saying it’s shipped but so far the tracking information still says waiting on item. I hate waiting but I’m sure it’ll be worth it.

I’ve done this multiple times, I can watch my instant MPG meter immediately reflect my throttle input.

 

That doesn’t necessarily mean that the truck is doing anything, acceleration wise.

 

Which is why logging is a great idea, so we can actually see what is happening. Then can determine the words to describe it, after we know what IT is.

Just my two cents, can argue ad infinitum without data...

 

Logging is the only way if you’re having issues or think you’re having issues. Otherwise you’re shooting blind and simply guessing or spectulating.
If you don’t have time to log then you shouldn’t be tuned or complaining. Spend the time to work with Mat and. get it right.

 

I’ve got plenty of time. I don’t think, however, that has any bearing whatsoever on whether or not one should use this tune.

I didn’t realize until late last week that Techstream is readily available to the masses.
