Admittedly not the coolest question of the day, but why can’t I get the led replacement dome/map lights to work right? Each one I’ve tried flickers unless the key is on, then full brightness. Is there a way to override whatever evil is keeping me from interior led happiness? This is driving me a little mad...2004 Tacoma. Thanks in advanced.

 

Gonna need resistors to fool your dimmer module

 

LEDs dont draw enough power so the systm thinks the bulb is burned out. You need to add a resistor...

 

While we're talking done lights so mine doesn't turn on when I open the driver door, but the passenger door does.
Any idea where I could poke around for an answer?

 

Sounds like a bad door switch, pull the rubber boot off and wiggle the little bastard around. Sometimes electrical contact cleaner fixes it

 

So today I removed the starter, two drive shafts, trans and transfer case, clutch and rear main seal. Then I ordered clutch kit, flywheel, rear main seal, trans input shaft seal, starter rebuild kit and u- joints.

Yep. I have a company van for work and the wife has a mini van. Doesn't look as good but it gets me places.

 

Bought a winch and began fabrication on a hybrid bumper, also threw on some 13WL tundra brakes

UJoints is not an easy job, and also the way you threw in trans in there makes it sound like you pulled a headlight bulb, lol. How’d you manage it alone, trans jack?

 

once I Got the bolts off I jacked it up with a floor jack and a 6x6 wood spacer. Then I used a ratchet strap from the trans to the trailer hitch. Ratchet tight and shake the shit it of it.
