So I got the exped mega mat from REI using dividends and coupons etc. Had it inflated for a couple days in my house and was really impressed. Took it on a shake down trip over spring break and it's EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'm a side sleeper and I switch sides over night because my shoulders are falling apart. Slept like a king. Looking forward to a trip in may where I'll be dog tired and sore from mountain biking by the time I climb in my tent. Many thanks for the tip amigo.

Who has a RTT on a non re-enforced shell? I’m looking to add one on top of my prinsu (40#s atleast) but that might be to much weight on the shell of a total of 300ish? I plan on building two pull out drawers in the bed, and maybe a sleep platoform but if I travel out west might run out of sleep room. Or just travel with a ground tent?

Hey dude thanx for the Avaquila patch. It’s pretty much my spirit animal.
Where in South Jersey are ya?

I have a non reinforced cap and RTT with no real worries. I’ve pretty much abused the cap with weight and trails and have minimal cracking.. I’ve also drilled holes throughout the window casing to mount the TREDs and in the ceiling to mount a table. Drove a 3 week trip cross country recently with my wife and dog, sleeping in the tent every night. Cap is still going strong.

It’s a thought, not so sure yet. I’m just seeing what people think. Building the bed out with heavy duty sliding drawers is first.
