    Is it worth trying to request warranty request on my boot throwing grease if the boots not torn?

    Also for reference cheapest place to buy OEM or better CV axle and then a replacement boot to have a spare axle in case warranty won't cover the lifted truck.

    I would be amazed if Toyota warrantied a CV axle on a lifted truck. Way to easy to say the lift was the cause and you have no ground to stand on in that argument.

    Typically I would second Scotty's parts store recommendation for the lifetime warranty (as I recommended it to him). However, with a front locker you are putting way more strain on your CVs.

    I would probably buy a parts store spare as a backup and run it until you finish rebuilding your OEM CV and then switch it back in.

    @whitedlite or you could just get a set of RCV axles and call it a day! You can beat on them with the front locked all day with no concerns of breakage.

    The problem with RCVs is they won’t break and the weakness becomes the arm on the passenger side of the diff.

    Stronger axles just move the breaking point.

    Also $2500 is a lot of coin.

    Is $50 for an OEM replacement boot kit fair pricing?
