Man this thing is outstanding...............I can't stop watching the video! The attention to detail and build quality looks great. I don't think there is anything on the market that can compete, especially at this price point. Great job!

IDK, but I'm pretty sure you cannot actually "lock" the compression latches without being outside of the camper, and having a key. If you could slide a ball lock pin into some tabs, placed on both sides of the compression latch's arm, thus preventing its range of motion, then yes, we could very easily lock the panels from within. That is just my idea for a solution. Surely the pros at GFC will have a better, cheaper, simpler design.

Awesome to hear! Looking forward to seeing how you tackle the 1st gen. Finished product looks stellar and I can wait to see one on the best gen :p

Whenever you need the reg cab(or the double) just let me know. Want to come check your operation out in person anyways.

    Thanks for addressing my question!

I am very interested in a lock for the tent as well.

Also curious about the awning. I thought I read somewhere that this was going to be a feature. I spend lots of time camping in the rain. #PNW

Correct, the panels can be setup so that the single bunk is on either side.

Apologies if this has been mentioned already, but will we have the option of selecting the fabric pattern for the tent? I may have missed the change somewhere along these pages, but I see the fabric has changed from the Air Force Tiger Strip (SBU) pattern to a solid tan. Is that set or do we have an option there?

(For context, I actually prefer the solid tan, but figured I should ask either way!)

Me too! Thanks gmacmt, I thought I read you will be offering an addon platform for the top - instead of just crossbars. It would be great to be able to stand on the top. Is my memory failing me?

I remember reading this, too. Something about connecting to the crossbars for stability...

I didn't forget about your inquiry. @wileydavis is the one to address all things in the fabric world, I mostly stay in my lane supporting metal town (sub-communities in our shop for the uninitiated). I do know there are some features that will be included that may not be featured in the intro video

RE: accessory options... We are working on a roof-rack for sure, plan to launch it this summer. It will be more in the style of prinsu/frontrunner to make the roof walkable and be able to attach accessories, and be available in sections so you can deck part of the camper or the whole lid.

Quick run down on our approach to the accessories.

We are releasing the components in order of user need/ease of install. Parts that are harder for the user to install, or will be really helpful for some folks right off the bat are the first things we are offering. So things like the interior lighting and ventilation fan are addressed first as they require a little more work/specialized tools to install. The roof crossbar system is also on the quick hit list because we think that is an immediate necessity in terms of functionality for some folks.

Beyond those options, we are designing everything (even the trickier stuff) to be easily user installed into our current design. So we are building the general platform with all of the accessories in mind, even though we don't have them available for sale yet. That make sense?

Have a great easter everyone! I am stoked the video turned out well. We have been working incredibly hard the past couple weeks, and will continue to do so. Posting the video to our normal social channels at 5pm today, so TW is the first to see it, and I tried to address specific points of concern or interest from this thread while we were filming. I really like the video interface, and I might work on doing some more (weekly or biweekly) updates in this format.

One of these days we will take a day off, but GFC is so stoked to get these things in your guys' hands and meet you all in person. Who wants to help me plan some owners rallies?

    -g

That think is so tempting. I love the idea of a shell and camper in one unit.
