Any of you guys notice any slight mottling or tiger striping with mgm color? After applying jet seal today and all washed up in direct sunlight, I could swear I saw a little uneven paint on my front left quarter panel. Very tough to see and it’s possible it was an illusion, but wondering if anyone has noticed this or similar? I know metallic paint can be hard to get perfect.

I've been searching the forum but can't seem to find any pictures of oem TRD Sport wheels powder coated with a satin/matte black finish. I have a place local that does good work but I'm also considering just getting a set of PRO wheels instead

 

Decided to add 16” tacoma pro wheels and will upgrade tires later with a lift. Subtle but nice upgrade for now.

 

I'm thinking about having my OEM TRD OR wheels refinished in gunmetal or black after I saw this photo on a thread. I like the look with TRD centre caps.

It does look pretty good that way for a stock wheel!

 

Definitely a nicer look being dark like that with a satin/matte finish to match the hood decal, predator steps, and pro grille. I was looking around on ebay for a set of trd center caps that fit the 3rd gen sport wheels but I wasn’t sure if any of the sets I found would fit. The listings didn’t seem compatible. If you live near nyc or jersey I can refer you to my powdercoating guy

If I'm looking to completely replace my stock sport wheels and rims with TRD pros for the 4Runner, will the dealer give me a trade free of charge?

 

It all depends with how bad they want to sell the truck. Maybe go in towards the end of the month. Never hurts to ask..

My dumbass should've slowed down to read what you wrote before I responded... Lol. I doubt they would trade straight up but you never know. Maybe where you live Tacoma wheels are more popular. I wouldn't ask the service advisor, maybe ask one of the managers in the service or sales department.

I'm thinking I'll ask if they'll do a set of TRD 4 runners pros for my wheels and tires. Seems kind of equivalent. We'll see though.

 

2018 mag grey, off road, 6mt. Leather interior which took me forever to find. Just brought it home today! Super happy.
