I'm looking for some ideas/solutions (relatively cost effective) to stopping spring run off from seeping in at the bottom plate stud and slab on grade.
Unfortunately when my garage was built they didnt add any kind of curb for the stud walls to bare on.

The obvious answer is shoveling snow away from the garage and slab, but with the amount of freeze thaw cycles here in Alberta its near impossible to keep up.

I'm sure some of you have had a similar problem and looking for some ideas. Thanks guy.
I can post pics of existing structure if it helps.

I dug down & put in a length of weeping tile. As long as the water has someplace to go it'll find the easiest place.

    Perimeter drain...

I found the best option for dealing with snow was to move to Florida .

Texas is a better option if you enjoy Alberta, it's basically the same thing with better weather.

No, just to a lower part of the yard where the house downspouts drain.

I've worn pants about 5 times this winter, excluding work where shorts look unprofessional.

Unfortunately my family house has the exact same problem, especially when we have a huge rains the water seeps in through the cracks in the concrete. We have had tons of different people look at it including a friend of mine who a structurel engineer. The consensus in our case is the whole grarage floor has to be demoed and redone again with a sump pum etc..

You don't have to remove the floor to install a sump, just cut a hole and dig.
