I don't think anybody needs to flash and go out driving tonight. I hope you have had a chance today to enjoy your sunday Mat. I'm happy to see the update up on flash manager when it's ready. Appreciate all the hard work you've put in.

I haven't had any of these issues with mine. Very sorry to hear some folks are experiencing problems but it seems they are relatively few.

Has anyone experience a drastic overnight temp change, from 80*f to 32*f (because Oklahoma hates everyone) and noticed the truck not nearly as willing to hold gears or even surging when coming to a stop? My truck doesn’t want to stay in 6th now and I have been getting some random surges. I have 900 miles on it since 1.03 flash and have not had these issues until yesterday and today.

I'll definitely check out the update but my truck is driving pretty spectacularly just on 1.03 87 at the moment.

@OVTune - Random question about the nature of reflashes. I have noticed in the past that the behavior of a flash can be "different" depending on what I was running on the truck previously. This has always made me wonder what elements of learning may remain in-tact even after a flash? In my case I had run nothing but tune versions for a loooong time and hadn't ever reflashed stock. After doing my miserable stock test last week, refreshing 1.03 and it just feels a lot smoother than when I first flashed it...

Could all be in my head, mind you... but I even remember that with 1.01b way back when. When I first flashed it from stock it was buttery smooth but on subsequent reflashes, though it was still waaaay better than stock, it never was "quite" as smooth (esp. shifting) as the first time I flashed it from stock.

Are there elements of the learning that remain in tact that are best "reset" by a stock reflash?

Disturbing transmission hiccup yesterday: Driving about 35, feathered down to 25 or so to take a curve, then resumed gentle pressure on the accelerator coming out of the turn. Instead of a smooth downshift, the truck briefly acted like it had gone into neutral, revved up to maybe 3000-3500 rpm, then slammed into gear with a thud. Not violent enough to chirp the tires, most likely because I was being gentle with the throttle, but it definitely felt like someone kicked me in the small of the back. I had friends in high school who used to intentionally put their ATs in neutral, rev the engine, and drop back into D for kicks. Of course, their transmissions tended to wind up puking parts all over the road after enough of those stunts. Not pleased that my truck seems to have decided it likes doing this on its own.

Maybe it was just an aberration, but I'm still reporting it because that's the kind of aberration that I assume can do damage very quickly. If it matters, we've been having the same early spring wild temperature swings that another poster mentioned in conjunction with shifting weirdness.

EDIT: I don't know how high the rpms actually went - I was watching the road, not the gauges, and the slip/shift happened in a fraction of a second. 87 octane, 1.03 AT, ~300 miles since flash.

How many miles on the flash, and which version of the tune (octane) are you on?

I've run the 1.03 91 tune since it's debut. The only issue I experienced with it is the idle surge. It's especially noticeable when in a drive-thru line. Feels like you bump the throttle or something like that. It also happens when backing the truck up. Mat said it's been fixed with the update so I'm looking forward to it.
