No , Amazon . No Chinese writing anywhere on package .A lot of these bulb packages say dome , map , trunk , vanity , ect . Because they fit dif stuff on dif models . Now I realize this

 

Yep it’s simply that easy. There are a few vids on YouTube for the older second gen models. Nice thing about them is you just wedge a screw driver ina corner underneath the Hvac rectangular panel piece and it should pop off as it’s only held in by pins. After that you will have to just take a flat head screw driver and then do a quarter turn on the back of the bulb for it to slip out. When putting in the new bulbs, if it doesn’t work, simply remove the new bulb and swap it around and try again as they are orientative sensitive.

As for the 2012-15 trucks like me and boogies, we have soldered LEDs that have to be removed and then solder in new ones. Took me about 20 min to do my Hvac panel with a good Amazon soldering iron though.

 

According to Amazon these little red leds are for HVAC on the Tacoma but doesnt look like plug and play .

 

The first link on Amazon with the 6 pack should be what you need unless they are too big or small. The second link is indeed for the dome light and front interior cabin toggle lights by the rear view mirror.

 

Watched a YouTube video .......the whole HVAC panel pops out to change the bulb from behind . I just need to make sure I have the correct bulbs.

 

Thanks ,I think I have the correct ones for the HVAC .The speedo and all that is soldered . Who knew ,I told you I am mechanically challenged at least I got my led dome and the knobs installed !

Don't forget to swap those vanity lights too! Can't leave a stuck bulb anywhere! I believe these are good for all 2nd Gen Tacomas, just check the bulb number to be sure.
