Tacoma - OVTUNE - VFTUNER - Update Info and Original Development

Curious why this: Mods: removed the air intake "charcoal filter" (The filter that is attached to the air intake lid).?

 

Allows better air fliw. Similar to adding a CAI without spending 500 bucks.

It gives slightly better throttle response and I did this b4 flashing the tune.

 

Yeah, seems that filter's primary purpose is to reduce carbon emissions when idling and I can see a little less resistance helping response. I've left mine on though - b/c I idle a lot in a city that's polluted enough already

 

Just wanted to put on the record when i turn a corner and the truck falls on its face the truck is 100% warmed up. I need to do more testing to narrow down exactly when it happens as it doesnt always happen

Fist time I heard a Gremlin called a classic. Just cuz it is old doesn't qualify it for a ''Classic". . Although, I'd probably like it's trans better!

 

I've honestly never seen that car before lol looked old, and anything over 25 years old is technically a classic unless the law has changed so I committed fully to my lack of knowledge and it has only been a partial success.

 

A couple of weeks ago I saw a mid-80s (3rd gen) Honda Civic wagon with "Classic" plates.

 

Alright, that IS really bad

 

To me that is antique, classic has some class (and quality) to it in my book. But I get the plate correlation.

 

While we're off topic, I've been mildly curious if the tune that will come with Mat's eventual turbo kit will be one that assumes you're otherwise stock, or if it's going to be recommended to get supporting mods to go along with the turbos and relevant parts.
