Anyone know of a good credit card I can get that will help me raise my credit score?
I'd like to get a card and just use it to buy gas or something small then pay the bill in full every month.

Get an airlines miles card if you travel. If you don’t get one that does cash back.

I use mine everyday for fuel and lunch and pay it off every week. I stick with one card because of cash back but I’ll switch depending on promos. The only card I pay for is amazon but that’s because I get their prime tv. I will not pay for any card asking an annual rate.

    I have two cards:

Airline miles card for all of my bills on autopay that I pay off once a month

Chase Freedom - high interest, but high rewards that I use for my gas, groceries, and other expenses (paid off weekly).

    Yea
2010 I got Laid off and Almost everything went into collections.
I am still diggin out of that hole. I did pay off two collections and my Subaru this year so I am headed in the right direction,
Im thinking a CC used for gas and pay it off right away will help.

As a related side note - I would check out the CreditKarma app. It provides two scores (not recalling the two right now) with soft inquiries, which don't hurt your credit. It gives you a breakdown of all the factors impacting your credit and offers recommendations of how you can improve each factor.

This is what I do with my airlines miles card. I pay my mortgage, cell phone and car insurance on it comes out to 3000 bucks a month and depending on the promos it ranges between 3000-6000 miles a month

I have this card as well. Only downside for me is it’s mastercard and I fill up with gas at Costco so I can’t use it for that which is a bummer cuz that’s close to $60 a week. Luckily I just use my southwest card for that.

How are you able to do this with credit card? If you can do it without any fees that would be good to know how.

I have maybe 12 credit cards... from basically everyone. Just stay under your 10% limit. Went from a 550 to 760 in a year and a half.

I have a rewards card through my own bank. Find one with no Annual fee. It's easier to get one through your bank so the accounts are linked. I can use mine as debit or credit with a pay now or pay later feature, I can even move purchases back on to credit if I need the money. My credit score has been sailing on up. Good stuff.
