has anyone tried one of these? I found them cheap and thought about trying them but was curious if anyone else has.

I'm really not understanding the obsession with lights, LED lights and backup lights. I've never needed them, on or off road outside what comes on the vehicle or a person with a flashlight.

Most of the threads here are for lifts, LED Lights and bed hardware which again is a waste of money most of the time, IMHO.

Flashlights and spotters are for the most part.....free.

If you ever leave the asphalt, make sure you used cheap lights as they likely wont last long.....

Luckily for the whole TW...that's just YOUR opinion...the point of the entire web site is for people to be able to share their modifications, stories, and successful accomplishments with their vehicles. Regardless if you feel it's a waste of "YOUR" time and money, guaranteed, and poll would prove otherwise. Lighten up and think more positively about others ventures, and for what it's worth, flashlights and spotters arent always there when you need them....

    ...stuff
I’d be hesitant to use these off road... have you ever dropped off a little wash and slammed the tow hitch on it? Those would be trashed really quick. My rule of thumb is anything hanging below the hitch when you leave pavement probably won’t be there when you return to pavement

I dont wheel so dont think that would be an issue. snow banks in mass might be but winter should be over and like I said above, Im thinking about putting the lights on the top of it if they would fit. still not sure yet.

I’m all for a lot of modifications, especially necessary ones, but I also think many mods are a waste of money.

I’ve given great constructive feedback and info to members on a number of occasions. But, if something is a waste of money, I’ll say so. Not everyone here cheerleads every single thing we do or think about doing to our trucks.

Its an interesting concept, insofar as a method to mount rear facing lights without punching.new holes.
But I would truely be worried about crunching them on a log, or stump, crossing a ditch, etc.
One crunch would sour me real quick. So sorry, they do NOT get my endorsement.

What if the lights were more of a streamline style than a big square? Seems like the square lights do hang down quite a bit.

Still a newb here, but after this last weekend that has been my experience. Also, if I would have left that stupid front air dam on my truck my bumper would have been fucked!:bananadead:

you're gonna kill your departure angle. Seems like they could have designed the bracket to keep the lights level with the hitch (instead of hanging so low).

Where did you find that bracket? It has lots of potential for someone like me that could add this for camping and backing up to my TT at night. I would try to make it work with some Nighlights I have and make it more plug and play as I need it.

i wonder if the lights can be installed on top of the bracket instead of the bottom?

Bumper, Winch, 315s, Sliders, OME HD lift, Custom rear swingout, roof rack, drawers, way too much to list.
I've used them. First time off road with them and I nearly ripped off a cheap Chinese LED cube.
