I heat treat my tarps by leaving them in my toolbox during the summer and letting them bake

Dunno. I use mine for pistol brass and have never had any trouble with melting. I've only shot my AR at the sand pits so far, so no grass to worry about losing cases in, so no tarp. :notsure:

I really need to upgrade to a tarp, or something waterproof. I like my moving blanket, but it's definitely got great at keeping my dry.

I can see a pile of brass, especially after somewhat rapid fire being hit enough to melt a cheap plastic tarp but I've never had an issue

I'm sure they do but meh

The brass is a secondary purpose anyways for me as I'm not going to lay in the wet grass or mud...then after a round of fire I'll chase some brass and toss it in a pile on the tarp...makes it easier at the end of the day to pick it all up

Guys, the important thing here is I was shooting my new to me rifle with a new scope

And it was every bit of awesome as this was my first ever scoped rifle...I have an aimpoint pro and a vortex venom...but this was my first actual scoped rifle and I'm stoked about it

As you can probably tell, the distance wasn't too far but it's what I had to work with this weekend

IDK, we all know tarps are the best shooting accessory there is.

    Haha, but no

I'm working on the distance thing as the suburbs creep, shooting locations are taken...so I'm still using where I grew up shooting pistols and shotguns however I've purchased 11ish acres out away from it all where I should be able to stretch out the legs a bit further

We actually have a bit more than that, but because of the shape, location, and some family drama...my cleared out area is currently off limits...

Nope. Tarps. We're going to have to change the title here to 'Tarp BS thread'

Nope. I don't see any point besides the negative of lending more optics to be distorted by anti-gunners. They've already framed the conversation. I'm not giving them any ammo, real or perceived to attack the 2a.

well the basic concealed weapons license is just finger prints and Sheriff runs your criminal history and about a month you get your license and you are good to go. Only downside is Washington state doesnt honor the basic concealed weapons license so we dont go to washington much but I'd like to concealed carry. The enhanced is a day course with live shooting similar to What Texas does, this enhanced course however does get honored in Washington state+30 or so other states.

found this...FAQ. also doesnt apply to OR but I rarely go there...

If I am applying for the enhanced License as a non-resident, Do I need to obtain a permit from the state where I reside?
Yes, as part of the enhanced license the law requires anyone applying for the Enhanced license as a non-resident to first have a license in their resident state.

ya just looked it up. Interesting that it's only non-residents of bordering states. Works for me but wonder why it's only bordering... hmm

Oregon is a Shall Issue State and issues Concealed Handgun Licenses to residents of Oregon and non-residents in bordering states. Some Sheriffs do not issues Non-Resident permits. You can find a list of Oregon Sheriff's contact information here. ... Each Sheriff has its own process but most are very similar.
