Stage 2 here.

 

Mine drops down into the mid 12's. Definitely needing the stage 2. Not sure if that happens to anyone else around here. Figured I just mention it anyway.

 

Mine goes to 11.3 at redlights when my bass hits, then it clips a bit. So i pause every time i redlight. I need this and a group 31 for sure

Do you have capacitors in your system as well?

 

Nah, a cap is a bandaid, i dont really beleive in them. My problem is im using factory battery not a battery made for this abuse.

 

Bandaid?? It better for your alternator. The sudden load draw can start to screw up you electronics. A cap close to the stereo will supply the amp with a more constant power, stop your lights from flickering and give a harder bass hit.

 

Capacitors are not bandaids. Rather necessary componentry in electrical systems. In this case helping to keep the voltage more constant.

 

zack in the meantime when you get a response on idle for both stages,
put me down for a stage 1

dont think i need a 2 but will be nice to have some room when the lights and winch get used at the same time my fridge is running. I dont run any sound system but with the fridge in freezer mode all the time during 40-50*f temps, idle is usually around 13.8 with moves to 13.5 when fridge is cycling

 

Plenty of people running upwards of 10k watts dont use any capacitors they just use more batteries

Either way lets focus on the groupbuy and not my system lol.

My computer says it’s charging at 13.5 warm ad the obd2 port is getting 13.8
