Mine wasn’t top heavy hitting the dunes. Barely could tell it was up there.

Apparently you didn’t see the steep dunes we were hitting.

It really depends on the rtt you use. I had one that was maybe 100lbs. But I took it off and sold it due to the tight low tree trails out here. But honestly I barely noticed it up there and it only cost about 1mpg

Was simple. Just bought an aluminum strip that was like 24” long cut drilled bent.

I just got done putting herculiner on the underside of the fenders.

This is a stupid question I know, but here it goes. Just got a 3 inch dobinsons lift, and spc UCA's for the wife's 5th gen and scored a set of scs ray 10's but... funds are limited for 285's at the moment. Anyone know what this set up would look like on 265's? Just wondering if I should wait to install it all till I can get tires or just go ahead.

It’ll be fine, just like a tall kid with little feet. And then everytime you look at it you will want the 285s.
I rocked 265s for a while when lifted but that’s cause my tires weren’t bald yet and I’m a cheap ass.

need some help from you knowledgeable folks.

Found a buyer for my factory take off T4R steps. Guy has a 2013 Limited. I believe these will fit, but with the Limited having body moulding wanted to make sure.

Anyone go from a newer second gen Tacoma to a new fifth gen T4R? Had a 2013 tacoma sr5 for a couple years, sold it in February, and currently looking at getting a 2018 T4R off road premium. Any major gripes after the transition?

Had a 15 Taco prior and now own 16 T4R and 18 Tundra. No gripes whatsoever. Wondering why I didn’t buy the T4R sooner. Build quality is levels above the Taco. You will love the better power and space. It truly is one kick ass rig.

    Here’s ours now:

Will have to pry it from my cold dead hands :D

I think my biggest excitement is better seats. Try walking after driving across the country in some Tacoma seats.

If you look at my threads started, did a road trip from DFW tx to Canadian border in the Glacier NP and back to DFW road trip, so I know the feeling. Over 5k miles in 2weeks in my 15 Taco. Ol ass and legs were feeling rough:D

Didn't buy one sooner, I love my wife's 100% more comfortable than the taco an way smoother. If she ever wants something else I'll take her runner an sell the taco

That’s going to be my predicament when we upgrade the wife in few years. Keep T4R or Tundra :annoyed:

My only gripe was I didn’t do it sooner. Had a 2005 DC TRD OR years ago and traded it for a FJ then to a 2010 Trail 4Runner. Had it for 6ish years before the mid life crisis go kart and I missed the 4R so much I went back to a 2017 TRD OR Premium and I have no regrets. It’s just a fantastic vehicle. I did a 6300 mile VA-WA-VA road trip last summer and sure, after several thousand miles your butt and legs feel it but I just adjust the seat here and there and I’m fine. Shit...it’s been to Alabama and back. Seattle and back and Charleston and back. 17k miles on her already
