It's coming from the passenenger side, but occasionally goes to the driver's. Both sides seem to be coming from around the A-pillar/rearview mirror area.

It only happens over about 75-80 mph, and the two times it's happened have been on a road trip when it's windy outside.

I'm kind of at a loss, besides maybe putting tape on all the cracks and seeing if that stops it.

    It's a 2012 DCLB.

    Yup what he said.

Toyota has a TSB for this where they added a bit of round tubing to the front facing part of the seal.

I came up with the fix a few years ago in another huge thread. a 50 ft spool of 1/4in black irrigation line is like 5 - 6 bucks and will solve all your issues.

Oh my god thank you guys!

I had no idea what to google for that sound lol, Kazoo pretty much nails it.

If there's TSB, does that mean I can take it to the dealership with this video and have them fix it for free?

As long as it's still under warranty. If not, it's an easy DIY.

I had the same issue except it was my fender liners that got loose and the wind was making them hit my tires. at least that was my issue

Definitely not under manufacturers warranty. I bought it from Carmax and got their warranty. I'd have to call them and see if they'll cover it, but it seems easy enough to fix on my own that I'd probably just do it next weekend.

You'll be out of factory warranty. The updated OEM seals run about $70 each and you'll need both sides. If you're flush with cash, get em. They fix the problem entirely. If not, try a DIY fix.

Until I finally caved and got the updated OEM seals, I'd simply tightly roll a napkin and stuff it in the seal on the windward side of the truck before any long road trips, as that's the only time I ever got the kazoo. And I'd take it out when I got to my destination.

Here are pics of the updated (TSB) seals. Identical to originals but they have a ~1/8" foam bead glued into the strip on the leading edge.

It runs from just behind the top "corner" of the window to about 2/3 of the way down the front.

oh, that's interesting. Thanks for the pics, looks like something that would be very easy to just put in yourself.

just dropped mine off at dealer along with copy of tsb and recording of sound. I am one week out of 36 month warranty. Lets see what happens.. Hopefully they will offer to correct at no charge. Bought from this dealer as well.
