the backside of my bumper  is kinda rusty. i was thinking of taking a bottle of vinegar solution and spraying it down every 15-30 minutes for several hours on a Saturday then hosing her down. the spaces are all angular and compact so brushes and grinding wheels don't fit well in there.

Ya, like @Bentrodder was saying, there's a lot of droning that happens with that window open and I like having the option of closing it.

I wonder if I could put something over the paint (like blue painters tape or something that could be removed somewhat easily in the future) to prevent the seal from rubbing the paint off while still maintaining a decent seal

Or I should just make little platforms so the dogs can sit/lay in the back of the access cab.

That's going to rub paint off too. Additionally, overinflated + elevation change = dogs, me, and the gf shitting our pants when that thing goes pop.

All I'm hearing are excuses. You know, there are things to protect the paint these days. And how high do you plan on going? Pretty sure that butt gasket is thicker than a Doritos bag.

Since it doesn't have a window, maybe that cap is more trouble than it's worth, even if it's free.

Lol. I'm not taking the whole shell. Just the rack. I like my color matched shell. Even if the clear coat is starting to peel.

If done right this could work for the cab and shell gasket.

    And heated would be great!
Ya know we are humans. We have opposable thumbs. Most of us posses the ability to reason. Yet toilets are so damn uncomfortable but everyone has to use them. I'm baffled! Or vext. Or perplexed. Idk!
