    Hey All

Hate the chrome on your 3rd gen taillights? Change the look of them without spending hundreds on aftermarket taillights.

I now offer transparent vinyl overlays that will allow you to hide the chrome and keep it looking clean and classy!

These are cut on the plotter so they are the proper size and shape, no having to trim them on the light and risk damaging your lights with a razor blade.

I have Red and Smoke ready to ship.

*note the pic is at an angle so it looks like the rectangle is skewed, thats just the photo, it looks straight and OEM in person, no-one will know its an overlay!

**Note, it might look a little darker/lighter in person depending on monitor settings.

$18.00 shipped for the pair anywhere in the US. $20.00 to Canada.

    PM me to order, thanks!

    To install the taillight overlays

    1. Clean the appropriate area of the taillight with some rubbing alcohol. This will remove any dirt or oils from the area prior to installation.

    2. Spray or splash a bit of soapy water (or vinyl application fluid) on the appropriate area of the taillight.

    3. Remove sticker from the paper backing. It is recommended that you use some masking tape to lift an edge of the vinyl decal in order to avoid damaging or stretching the vinyl, but if you are careful, it can be done without.

    a) If using a spray bottle to apply soapy water, spray a modest amount to the adhesive side of the vinyl, this will allow you to have more freedom to maneuver it into the correct spot before it begins to stick.

    4. Slide the sticker into place on the outside (lateral) portion of the taillight first. Because of the slightly raised edges on the taillight, this part should slide right into place with a little patience. Once in the correct location and the alignment is correct, begin to push down and squeegee the soapy water out from under the vinyl with your thumb or finger. This will allow the vinyl to stick in place. While sliding the water solution out from under the vinyl, continue to have one or more fingers holding the vinyl in place so that it does not slip and slide around.

    a) If you find it helpful, use a cloth towel (preferably microfiber) to blot out and absorb the excess water and moisture around the decal.

    b) If you notice bubbles forming under the vinyl, gently use your thumb to squeegee them towards an edge and out from underneath.

    5. Next, wrap the two tails around to the interior (medial) portion of the taillight towards the tailgate. Be careful and make sure they are straight and as parallel to the ground as possible. Once in place, use your thumb or finger to squeegee out the soapy water from underneath.

    6. This will leave you with a cone-shaped tunnel/pinch in the center portion of decal, in between where tails meet the solid, square portion of the decal. Use a heat gun on low or a hair dryer to begin to shrink this raised tunnel portion down so that it will stick flush to the taillight without folding over on itself. Use your thumb/finger to press the vinyl down carefully: work from the narrower (smaller) outside edge of the tunnel/pinch first and work inwards towards the actual reverse light (from the lateral to medial). Follow the tunnel(s) slowly and apply more heat as needed. Be very patient and take your time.

    a) Smaller bubbles will take care of themselves eventually. Focus more on not letting the vinyl fold over onto itself.

Any chance you’ll make one that covers the whole reverse light?

I totally can, but then it would reduce the visibility when reversing. Also installing it might take a little more effort due to the curve. if you are good with that, send me a PM and ill get you taken cared of :)

I think I am definitely interested in these... Been contemplating grabbing some https://www.ebay.com/itm/132007541974?rmvSB=true to put over my rear lights.. might look even better with those overlays, or both. Will have to check out the other vinyl thread's and if I decide on something, just do it all in one purchase instead of multiples for easier shipping. Something to figure out this week.. I'm on vaca the following week so I'll have plenty of time to try to do stuff, if it's warm enough out.

Sorry I don’t have any close ups. But I currently have smoked on my taillights.

I'll ask my friend to take some pics but there is no light on the sides where the red is..the reverse light is uncovered as seen above. :)
