Yeah, she's a bit tight (*cough cough*). I'm going to enlarge the hole a wee bit. The current hole size doesn't bother me too much, but having the gas cap slide in further will also provide more clearance for the pump handle.

 

She's not tight.... just full.

All the while standing near signs that clearly state not to use your cell phones while pumping gas.

 

Mine is the same way. I hold the back of the lid for the same fear. Hoping it loosens up as time goes on.

 

Who here forgets they have a gass-hole, and looks at their gas cap dangling against their muddy fender thinking “WTF is wrong with me?”

Here is a shot of the gasshole saving my cap from some cold dirty snow. I had to make myself use it the first three or four fill ups, now it's starting to become second nature. Had to take the picture because even after a few explanations my wife wasn't sure what it was and why I felt the need to buy one

 

still haven't installed mine, that damn screw would not budge. It's REALLY on there. I need to get some leverage on it and hope I don't strip the damn thing.

Call me crazy, but I suspect the first place he will post will be the 2nd Gen forums. Although it's not unheard of for him to post in the 1st Gen forums. So, perhaps ask there?

 

I have a whole pile of 2nd gen SB sitting on my desk. I was TRYING to get my hands on a long bed(or "L" stamped door) so I can design one for those and have them both available at the same time. Because I know how it's going to go down if I launch the 2nd gens and only have the SB available only.

 

In the interim, this is what I recently got for my long bed gas door:

 

Did realize there was a difference between the SB and LB.

I'll keep an eye out.

 

Good thing they don't try at night so they need to use a match or lighter to brighten the picture!
