Despite having the entire family over for Easter and an egg hunt (of which I personally stuffed +150 eggs with candy) I was able to manage some progress this Holiday weekend.


Just have to add the letters and these will be all good to go.

By the end of this week. Tough day today, learned a coworker passed away last week unexpectedly. Not a good way to start a Monday.

 

Sorry for your loss Craig, you have my condolences.

 

Crazy thing is, we’ve never actually met in person. He was my main contact at out support center for over 3 years and we worked together on tons of projects.
We spoke on the phone multiple time per week and emailed daily.
I knew his vacation schedule & vice versa. Always spoke about eventually meeting and having the opportunity to break bread. Now that will never happen.
I learned today that his memorial service may be held with his family in Nj. If that turns out to be the case I hope to attend.

Just a very surreal day today. I just spoke with him earlier last week and he was just “out sick”. Came out of nowhere.

 

Its funny reading everyone's "I see mine!", "that one is mine!", "oh! is that one mine?!" whenever Craig posts an image (and Im guilty of this too). It reminds me of newly fathers looking through the glass at the baby nursery in the hospital after the baby is born.

 

The circled area is a bulge in the rubber gasket, not an issue with the outer surround as you are implying. Also the grill pictured was one that I first made several years ago and was sent to me to repair after the individual had an imbact with a bird.

If you’ve got a problem with the product you’ve purchased from me - even 3 years afterwards - I’d appreciate a PM.

My comment pertaining to the bird impact was directed to the condition of the silver streak mica grill.

I take people’s satisfaction with my product personally - I hand make every single one. If he’ll allow me I’ll gladly purchase it.

 

A sudden loss is never easy regardless of the relationship. Again, sorry......

 

What if it impacted another vehicle?

If I can salvage parts sometimes they are worth repairing. In the case of that silver grill I was able to repair the cracked inner surround, replace the damaged main mesh section, and re-attach the outer surround.
TBH I charged him $120 for it.
