@04yota was so weak after cutting his fenders, he didn't have enough strength to torque down his lug nuts.

And his DS front wheel/tire rolled down the highway after that day of fender cutting.

Man, i Suppose its to be expected with a truck with this many miles, but now i'm getting a whine on cold startup and turning my wheels left or right in the morning. I'm thinking it's the power steering pump. I'll have to check the fluid level, maybe it's low.

So, Maintenance this in the next few months is now:

    CV seals
    Power steering pump (maybe)
Track down where the high pitch metal on metal sound is on the front drivers side. (can hear it over bumps, noise stops when there is any moisture)

This is getting old -_- @ 207K miles and counting. 100 miles a day.....

Dang, that’s a bummer. Hopefully it’s just low. Could do a flush and see if that helps. The inner cv seals that go in the diff? Man those things are finicky. My passenger side didn’t stop leaking until the third one when I got the depth right :bananadead:

when @MY50cal and I did my CVJ CV's, the first thing he said was "your going to need seals in a few weeks" and that was almost a year ago :anonymous:

Flushing my steering fluid out was one of the first things I ever did maintenance wise outside of oil changes. It takes about 5 min after you get the hang of it. The cold weather will make the fluid thicker this causing more strain on the pump. If you haven’t flushed it in a while, then that doesn’t help either. Wait I thought you had a second ride now? You still selling the taco?

Well that’s cool that you might keep it. Then again with the mileage it’s at, you can’t expect everything to survive. Once you get the second ride I’m sure it will make having the taco better when you arnt driving all the time although damn 100 miles a day is a lot. I would be broke from that gas alone. But I would have likely bought some piece of shit beater in the first week if that was my situation as I don’t care what I take to work. Most don’t even know I drive a taco.

Yeah, I'm just paying as much crap off as I can, so a lump purchase of a beater I couldn't afford when I first started. the car i'm waiting on won't be for sale until july when my friend moves lol

yeah it's just wearing through my tires and burning through gas haha
