Any woodworkers?

Hence the reason i still dont have one... Its hard to justity that much cash for something so small. Factor in that it will most likely rarely get used, and is mostly a decoration piece.

 

I have diablo ones on mine. no issues. same belt for about 2.5 years

I mixed a bunch of left overs together and started redoing that entertainment center. (also im gonna have to build another foyer table cuz the guy came to pick it up after i sent him the final picture and said "it looks like pine"...)

You might could paint it with a solid color and sell it...

 

He asked what i would build it out of and when i asked what color he wanted it stained he said just white washed... I was a little upset but im selling this one hopefully so no real loss

 

Off topic but do you make your own holsters? i lost the thread/post, I think it was you that posted a kydex (sp?) holster? or was that something else?

Started working on my legs for a minimalist love edge desk I’m making. All white oak.

The top is 5’x30”x1”. The slab was really badly twisted so it took a ton of time to flatten out. We made a super ghetto taper jig for the legs. I used 8/4 stock for the legs.

My pops helped me out. Only issue is I’m not sure how I want to join the legs and stretcher together. I really don’t want to use picket screws.

 

You may not have many other options if you cut your stretchers to length already. If you can sacrifice an inch on either side, you could cut some mortice and tenon joints. Or a through bridle joint would look cool with the tenon exposed.

 

Yeah. That’s what I was thinking as well. Also, do you think there needs to be another support for the legs? I’ve seen a lot of designs that has a stretcher going between the legs halfway down them as well.

 

You could always drawbore the joint as well. That would provide some mechanical leverage that would help with joint fatigue. Considering the length, and angle, i think a lower stretcher would be required. I think a >--< shaped stretcher would look cool. Have pieces that come in from a 45 from the leg to meet, then span the distance with a single piece.

 

That would be cool. And also give a place to rest their feet.

 

In the back right? Can you find anything online that your thinking of for a visual?

Because, I could just run one across the back between the legs as well.
