    5100's 285' to come 4" lift 33's on hoe

that's kinda what I was thinking, cause the stock 17's and 265 fit, granted theres not much room but they do fit and according to the calculator a 285/70r17 is only about .80 wider then the 265 and is you cut that in half to account for an additional .40 width being added on both sides.... by that logic technically a half in spacer should "work".... I just wanted the opinions of the group.

My frame scares me too. After passing inspection this month, repairing this is high on the list.

I looked into their spacers, but I would need to spend way too much to raise them enough. I have to raise them enough to counteract the compression of the bumps. Would be expensive. Looked into a stack of huge washers, but it was also pretty expensive. Instead, I'd look into what @JBTacoma did and make extended shafts upon which the bump sits. Or shock relocate, but yeah either way would require work. Need to do either one, but inspection and frame will come first.

Not sure what bumps you have if they are stock or not, but I am going to be limiting my uptravel by 1"to run my new shocks once I press out the old bushings. ...and they sell spacers that you can stack and adjust. Cycle your leafs and find out exactly how much uptravel you get and how much you need to limit it by with

I've already taken measurements. I have them written down somewhere, so I do know how much I need to raise them. I am actually running SuperBumps. But they compress to just about the height of stock bumps. For how little the spacers raise them and how much I need to raise them, the price gets steep. iirc, I need something like 2.38". I will recheck before taking action, but yeah do the math and that's a lot of money in spacers.

:( I can't seem to get it right.

wow that is a lot. you could weld a 1.5" block on the top bump, then use the spacers. I blew a shock cause I am pretty sure I bottomed the thing out, just glad I took all my measurements and will get full droop. I am not exactly sure about the current colapse measurements of my shocks I am running now, I will have it rebuilt and keep them as back up when I end up putting the new ones on.

Yeah I know it's a lot. I want to check again, but looking at the flex visually, it's at least 1.5", so over 2 doesn't really seem wrong.
Adding a section is definitely the way to go. Wouldn't prefer a >2" stack of washers or spacers for stability. And it would cost way more than welding in a part.
Blowing out a shock, or the concern of doing so, is part of why I haven't wheeled lately. Not worth it.
My droop should be fine too. It's the collapse that is the for me as well. Looking at it in person, I now understand why the shock relocate is popular.

Yeah I am realizing the same about the shock relocation. But for now my solution will work. I am also only trying to limit my uptravel by an 1" though, and not 2.5"...also not stoked on stacking spacers. I definitely wouldn't want to stack 2.5" Good luck man, and keep us posted.

1" isn't so bad. Definitely better than >2". I'll get to this eventually. It's not tops on my list right now.

Thanks! I stopped at that point for the night. Is the crush can? bolted to the frame or do you have to cut it off? I was tired after a 12 hr day at work and remember watching a video about having to cut it off but then instructions mentioned unbolting it

if your referring to the stock one i unbolted it. cause ARB sends replacements that look like cubes with a big hole on one side. thats where they go before the giant mounts themselves

Finally dropped the stock bumper and started brainstorming how to mount the new bumper I bought last weekend .Gunna have to do some plating on the frame and extend some of the connecting points on the bumper.
Starting this weekend. Until then, this is how she sits.
