I asked if there is a way to just wire on a different male end as long as the pins all do the same stuff, you should check your alt to verify that picture.

 

Based on the numbers in post 134, would you change me from Stage 1 to Stage 2?

Now we are going to need a volt meter group buy.

 

Soundqubed sells a green one, stinger sells a blue one , im sure someone sells a red one lol. Put it in the little drawer by drivers door as @352redyota did, or what i plan to do is have 2 in my front sunglassholder. Hidden from view. But when i want it it drops down.

 

Have we concluded that this won’t work for a Gen 3?

 

Im not thinking the plug is the same, i asked mike if its simply a matter of changing the male plug or not, ill let you know what he says. If you could verify the plug that would help.

He said if its not IG S L M / F its not possible. So exploring other routes like ryan brought up might be what the 3rd gens need to do. Also verifying that that is in fact the plug a 3rd gen utilizes or not.

 

For anyone that is wondering my truck is a 2013 DCLB TRD O/R with Tow Package (130A Alternator) and the Alternator plug is IG S L M just like @ManBeast.

 

Al second gens will be the same. Doesnt look like many more people are getting in on this.

 

Yes, I know, but I did see where throughout the thread 2nd Gen questions were asked about if I have the Tow Package, TRD, etc. I thought I could just clarify that what my truck was and which connector it uses just in case.

 

is this 2nd gen 4cyl or 6cyl or both

 

Ahh, gotcha. And sadly everyone with a 3rd gen isnt gunna be able to partake if that pic is infact really from a 3rd gen.
