    If this is directed at me, Wow. Good forbid I have to suddenly and quickly move 2000 miles. Life takes priority sorry that offends you. Meso is aware of my situation and I let him know as soon as it came up.

    The original was installed and feedback was given. The housing is onto prototype version 2 based on that feedback.

    As far as I know the prototype is for 3rd gen dual cabs. Installing requires dropping the entire headliner, all said and done it takes the good part of a day to get done. I unfortunately threw my back out as well and it's tough to contort in the rear of the cabin.

    I'd like to hurry this along but I can only fit bits in when I can. That said I did manage to meso some new hi lites For the next install.

    I am just sitting here waiting to see about a 2nd gen model... cause these are awesome...

    I would love to be able to have two aux brake lights on the outside and then an aux white light for the bed/reverse and then a amber light for a dust light...

    Should be bright enough....

    I'm waiting for the 2nd gen model myself!

    But for sure man, that's totally doable. Incorporating an amber as a dust light is a phenomenal idea I just may have to steal. We actually have people on TW using the amber cyclones as a dust light.

    Perfect! Good to hear!

    Going to have to patent that idea though.

    Is the Tacoma third brake light too small to hold a few Baja design S2’s?

    @Foxman1218
    The Raptor has a much bigger housing to accommodate S2's. But for the Tacoma they are Wayyyy too big. Yes they could be installed, but they would look out of place. Here is a scale of the S2's to the Tacoma brake light size

    LOL, yeah my frame on the 2011 is spotless and living in NV helps. I figured this thread could use a little humor. My 97 that was in VA on the other hand, yeah that frame was toast!

    By way of @mesojdm permission to @StOrMyThEtAcO I am the current owner/tester of a (or the only, I don't know if another one has been released) 2nd gen Baja Designs 3rd brake light. I have had if for a few weeks and would have posted sooner, sorry to those left in the dark, but life gets in the way sometimes. Regarding fit and finish, I couldn't be happier. There has so far, with the little rain we get in San Diego, been no noticeable leaking. The light output is insane. Meso designs a top notch product, that I assume will easily last the test of time and the harsh conditions I plan to eventually put it through. I will upload photos tomorrow. Thank you @mesojdm for being the innovator that you are!

    Yes my truck needs to be washed, but these are shots from today. After weeks of direct sunlight the annodizing on the lights has changed color a little. I waited until a hot day to install the light so the adhesive material behind the oem light stayed on the truck. The light will bolt up using the oem hardware, but I will be replacing them with rivnuts in the future for added strength. @StOrMyThEtAcO kindly sacrificed the connector from an oem brake light so it was truly plug and play when I got it. The only thing I need to do is repaint the bolts for the lights, which is purely decorative, they are friction fit in and not going anywhere without some effort.

    Here is a day time brake light output shot.

    Night shots of light output will come after the sun goes down. If there are any other shots of the light you guys would like, let me know.

    Thanks for the write up. Disappointing about the BD anodizing. @Baja Designs, care to comment?
