Does anyone know how much the dealership charges for this new battery?

Should only be $80-$90 for an OEM.

I'd consider upgrading to a group 31 battery if you need to replace yours anyways though.

edit: so we meet again -_-

    :)

i think a Group 31 is an incorrect size....OEM is Grp 24....if replacing OEM, it would probably be better to go with a grp 27

yeah group 31 requires an aftermarket battery tray, its a considerable upgrade one step below going full dual battery setup.

I only mentioned because thats what I'm about to do :)

out of curiosity which odyssey did you get? Sounds like you got one as an upgrade??

I was going to do a group 31 myself just because that seems to be the thing to do but I honestly don't know anything about batteries. I just want to run electronics while camping without draining my shit too quick.

Should probably just go dual battery but I was thinking a group 31 with a portable jumper in case I kill it will suffice.

A 27F can also be used if you get a battery tray from a 2nd Gen with tow package.

Group 31 is a referred to as a "Heavy-Duty Commercial Battery" according to the BCI Battery Replacement Data Book. I'm in the process of changing over to a group 31 in my Taco.

It all depends. The standard battery is the 24F but if you have the tow package it's the 27F. I assumed it's the same with third gen, but maybe not?

Yep, both of my 2nd Gens had a 27F in them, the 24F only came in ones with no tow package

Well I bought this monster with the stainless steel tray, I read another member installing with a 2nd Gen

    https://www.batterymart.com/p-odyssey-34-pc1500t-battery.html

    https://www.batterymart.com/p-hk-pc1500-hold-down-kit.html

I’ve read a ton about dual batteries but can’t see spending $600-$900 on the harness plus batteries.

For my needs this is all I need. Much simpler and cheaper than going dual battery. If I decide to do longer trips, I'll just throw a solar panel on my roof

I’ve heard these last 10-15 years plus my truck sits for a couple months sometimes. With selling the stock battery it’ll be a $300 upgrade with the stainless steel carrier.
