The one in my car is 10 years old and it fired the car up after sitting for 2 months.

What trays are people using to put a group 34 in the factory position? Most of the dual setups are for 34s but if I go with the split setup later, what tray would hold the one in the factory spot?

Did you look at OEM parts websites or no?

Is that a website? Haven’t heard of it if so. Tried google Amazon and a few other sites but no dice.

That was kinda my thought. I didn’t figure the strap would make it. There is the one on that link that is $124 or something like that but I’m not sure how it would fasten to the truck.

I’ve just always lived by bigger is better. But tried and true is worth something too I suppose.

There are lots of dealers that sell OEM parts online. Including batteries.

Well I took a two hour lunch to put in the Odyssey Battery, bed hooks and finish the Choas bed stiffeners.

After removing the stock battery I realized there’s no way I’m attaching the Odyssey stainless steel battery cage unless I weld it, but then it’s stainless to painted metal and what if welds break, etc. Measured each battery and the Odyssey is about 3/4” shorter than the stock battery.

So, I used my mad woodworking skills and cut and stained black a piece of 3/4” oak so I can use the stock brackets. Works perfect and doesn’t corrode. It bolted down just as secure as before, even put a thin piece of rubber between the battery and the oak and under the two battery holds so nothing moves.

Did something similar on my 1st Gen when I put in an interstate battery.

If you ever feel like revisiting it, getting the rearward J hook out isn't that hard with a dremel and cut off disc. Then you could replace with proper length hooks.

I don't know if something like this would be of interest, it is a Battery spacer. When I was with my ex gf she bought a Battery too short for her car, I stuck a book under it as an emergency fix and then got that spacer.

Thanks and to the post before this I’ll probably just get the riser. I’m a little bummed I couldn’t use the Odyssey holder but I can return it, no worries

For future reference, the label clearly says a Johnson Controls battery being resold by Toyota, so there's no need to bother with a Toyota label. The Walmart Everstart batteries are also made by Johnson Controls, as are the Optima Red Top and Yellow Top.

Just bought an Odyssey and wanted to know how much I can resell this stock battery for, that’s all.

Did you have to alter or modify any of the wiring to fit that beast? For 2nd gens, some say yes, others say no.
