For that size of a tire; IMO, I would look for a 17 x 7 or a 17 x 8 wheel max. The TRD Pro 4Runner wheels would work out nicely.

Out of curiousity did you learn if you can fit a 255/80/17 on a stock TRD Sport wheels/suspension? I know that 255/85/16 will fit on stock TRD Off-Road wheels/suspension. Seems like these are the same size tires, curious if there is any difference in suspension height or any clearance issues on the sport model. Thanks for any feedback.

I have the 255 ST Maxx. I have no problem getting going in the snow/offroad, however when I brake, my abs kicks on so easily. Any one else have these issues? I have to really be careful on the brakes or else abs kicks in for the slightest tap of the brakes.

All I can tell you personally is they only threw my speedo off by about 3 MPH and I haven't worried about it

it's actually off by approx 7% +/-. My speedo will be off approx 4+ mph around 65. If calculating actual trip distances for MPG just add 7%-7.25% to your total trip distance and then divide by fuel to get actual distance and MPG if you care.

This size works for me ... very happy with my decision. Props to the 2nd Gen guys who've chimed in on this thread, as their trucks were my inspiration when I started scheming on this size a year ago.

Ground clearance ... a suspension lift won't raise your axle ... only tires do that.

Im also interested in the pizza cutters cuz i think the 34” look alot more proportional for our trucks. Anyone have or know if -10 offsett (ray10s) wheels might cause rub. On 5100 and 888 in front. I have about 36 7/8” from ground to fender

Rays you'll probably rub. Really anything other than stock wheels and you're likely to rub from the tire being pushed outwards.
