I like to build a little shelter to stay out of the rain. Usually I camp in the passengers seat. That way I have a handle when I have to get up and pee. You know, it's the whole I don't remember thing after a few drinks.

Lol...actually just two people. I woke up to take a leak and took the pick. We got in late and thought fuck setting up a tent.

    Caterpillars is a funny image.

We were at the end of that road with the car just out of the shot blocking.

I could see an rtt if I could get into it through the window from the cab but despite my avatar(much younger then, and thicker now) I'm less taken with climbing than I used to be.

    Lol.

    I can sleep anywhere.

We showed up at 2am and had to leave around 6 so instead using up precious sleeping time we elected to sleep in the open. My sleeping bag has a DWR coating so it stays pretty dry.

The road ended right behind where i took the picture and the car was on the other side of where we were sleeping.

This would be the ideal situation for a Vagabond. Two people can sleep upstairs and one downstairs. Or the othe way around.

This was right down the road from the Bunny Flat Trailhead for Mt Shasta. The trail head parking lot isn't the best for sleeping. It's always crowded and noisy as hell. People climbing Shasta in a day often start as early as 10pm. Personally, I like to break it up into two days.
