I was thinking second shock actually, my bad haha. Figure for controlling that weight one likely wouldn't be enough at speed with possible bottoming out.

That's not how linear springs work. If it is spec'd at 700lbs per inch of compression that'll be the same regardless of spring length.

Not great. A couple hours of wandering the pick a part and a couple bucks and it will be good. Biggest pain in the ass is gonna be new tires and rims. It's got a 315/70/17 on the front left, 33/12.5/15 on the front right, and 265/70/16s on the back.

Check the wheels and tires for sale section on here... I got brand new tires and (almost) new wheels for $450.... I know you probably don't want stock ones like I bought, but guys unload 33's with wheels a lot too.

Not knowing what your usual "avenues" are - check FB groups - there's a couple good ones with "dezert / desert deals" in the title, offer up, and race-dezert classifieds if those aren't already in your usual suspects lol

Had the 50-J LBJ safety recall done on my taco this past weekend...13 years after it was issued. It's been seen a number of times by dealerships in that time. Kinda incredulous that they hadn't done it already, but oh well now I've got fresh new OEM ball joints for free. :)

Also had the parking brake cable adjusted. It was loose as old balls and wouldn't disengage enough to turn the Brake light off on the dash.

Then spent the rest of the weekend changing diff fluid and gaskets in my mom's jeep and helping my brother install a 2 inch suspension lift to his new (old) forrester. Busy as shit.
