Installing now to hi lift test. Weight per side with hardware came to 35 lbs for a DCSB. IF it passes lift test we will put together prices. Definitely more expensive due to material and some labor. Takes longer to weld because of start/stop to keep from warping

no kickout on these? I would imagine that Hi-Lifting from a kickout point would put significantly more stress on the setup as it creates a larger moment arm.

It would at the back of the slider. On most designs it would be a bigger problem than ours because we have a tube that supports the back as seen in this picture.

Also, we built our basic, cheapest set just to prove the concept. This way if it doesnt work we didnt waste as much money

pro grille, raised vinyl "TACOMA" letters on tailgate, de-badged, tint, ARE truck cap, BFG KO2s waterport, vinyl Tacoma inserts in dash, red "TRD Engine"push button start, MTF!!!
Watching. Maybe what I need. Don’t hit the rocks, but do have a trip planned in the fall and hope to do some now and then. Mostly muddy woods, ravines and beach. But if once and a while I need to slide down something. Might be nice to save the weight on a 70 mile per day commute.

These look top notch. I was starting to thing that I was the only fella here concerned about weight.

Cant wait for strength test results.

Boom, is the sound it didnt make. Worked like a charm, sliders flexed no more than steel really but we used wall thickness on aluminum 2x what we use on steel.

We lifted from the rear of the slider, back tire was 2" off the ground and main square tube was still 5/8" from the pinch seam.

We lifted from the center of the slider, both tires were 1" off the ground and main square tube was still 7/8" from the pinch seam.

We lifted from the front of the slider, front tire was 2" off the ground and main square tube was still 5/8" from the pinch seam.

No we plan to cycle test. Going to lift from each point, minimum 50 times to ensure no issues.

If you lift your truck from these more than 50 times from a hi lift you are probably doing something wrong... Haha

Do you run your cad model through a simple FEA analysis?
