Anyone have a lead on some mid-height bed bars for a 3rd gen? @JDAM do you still have the CBI bars I sold you? You good with those still or any interest in selling again?

Adventure Welding Company in Arlington makes them. He told me they cost $3-400.

Does that cost include powder coating?

Just saying a duck is a duck. That is a 80 dollar product not 400. For 3-4 bills they better be mirror polished stainless with immaculate tig welds.

The one I saw was nice, but I have no experience with bed racks. I'm not even sure I could write a sentence with how much I don't know about metal fab though.

I would say he seems somewhat thirsty for work so the prices he quoted me are flexible I'm sure.

Just zooming in on the Instagram pictures he has no experience welding. Seeing unfused stops and starts. Along with all the cold roll "looks like a worm laying there"the welder is running to cold not penetrating the tubing or plate. Using a wire wheel to polish a turd doesnt make it a diamond.

Hate to see people buy junk. Following steps from Ikea "YouTube" doesn' make you a talented 30yr carpenter or craftsmen.

P.s not busting your balls, just do your research or the tweaker car salesmen will bend you over everytime

Like I said I have no experience or knowledge on metal fab. Most of what you said went right over my head ;)

In other news FB Marketplace is a great place to sell tires if all you want is a ton of messages all of them either in Spanish, asking "what's the lowest you can go?"/lowballing, or asking questions which are answered in the listing description.

I have three of the Relentless Fab bed bars if you are interested. Pretty sure the 2nd gen ones are the same as third gen? I want to say they are 5" above bed? (just the Relentless standard height). And pretty sure powder coated too.

Got em like 3 years ago thinking I'd take the canopy off in the summer and never bothered. Still in the shipping stuff so I'd have to double check that they are powder coated

You are a lot nicer than I am. I usually just ignored people like that. Or when they asked lowest I'd go I'd say a higher price than they were listed for

They should. I’ve seen 2nd gen/3rd gen bed racks advertised as such

Yeah according to their website they are “05-Current”. I’ll take them @velillen if you’re selling.

I don't know much either, but I can see a good welding job and a bad one. Compare this bead to the one around the base of those bed bars.
